Party politics has been set aside by Croydon councillors united in their efforts to secure cash for the Warehouse Theatre following the grants snub from London Arts.

Last week, councillors and theatre staff met arts minister Alan Howarth and London Arts representatives to put forward its case. It is hoped Mr Howarth will visit the theatre on a fact-finding mission.
