Missing tourist found safe and well after five days

A WOMAN missing for the last five days has been found safe and well in the grounds of a hotel.

Police launched a massive search for 58-year-old Kathleen Powner after she went missing on Sunday morning from a bed and breakfast at Caterway Heads, near the Derwent Reservoir on the border of County Durham and Northumberland.

Concern had been mounting for Mrs Powner's safety, but she was found about two miles away in the grounds of the Derwent Manor Hotel at around noon today.

Well, in the absence of any further news about this lady, we must assume she was simply contemplating her navel, women do that sometimes.
