AN AUTHOR who has published the fourth book of her Yorkshire Dales Mysteries series is to meet fans at book signings.

Susan Parry has penned Craven Scar, based around the Craven Dales on Malham Moor, near Grassington.

The novel features Mills Sanderson as the main character and has an archaeological theme.

Mrs Parry said: “”Upper Wharfedale is a beautiful part of the Dales. The first visit my husband, Mark, and I made to the Dales after we were married was a walking holiday based in Grassington.

“We learned a great deal about the local industrial archaeology as well as discovering the wildlife of the area.”

Her first book, Corpse Way, was followed by Death Cart and Grave Hand, and she hopes to write a book every year.

Craven Scar is available in local bookshops priced £7.99 or for £9.20 by post from Viridian Publishing, PO Box 746, Woking, Surrey, GU24 0AZ, including postage and packing.
