A ROAD was closed for almost two hours after a car collided with an HGV yesterday.
The accident, on the A66 at Darlington between the Bland's Corner roundabout and the A1, ruptured the Volvo truck's fuel tank, and diesel was spilled out across the road.
The other vehicle involved was a Ford Mondeo.
Nobody was injured in the accident, which happened at between 2.30pm and 3pm, and the fire brigade and Environment Agency were involved in the clean-up operation
