DRUG workers are being invited to hear about career opportunities at an event next week.
The event has been organised by the Durham and Darlington drug action teams.
It is part of the largest recruitment campaign to be held in the North-East for drugs workers, and will take place at Ramside Hall Hotel, Carrville, Durham City, on Thursday, from 1pm to 7pm.
Durham and Darlington are expanding their services and are looking for qualified professionals in a number of areas, including nursing, outreach work and care management.
David Cliff, coordinator for the Durham and Darlington drug action teams, said: "There are exciting prospects ahead for drug workers in our area as services expand to meet the growing challenge of substance misuse."
