Guisborough player-manager Mark Forster bowed out after four years in charge of the Priorymen on Saturday with a disappointing 2-0 defeat at Bedlington.
The Terriers, top for the fourth consecutive season, were presented with the championship trophy at the end of the game.
Bedlington took the lead on five minutes when John Milner stepped up and sent keeper Matt Coddington the wrong way.
The second Bedlington goal came on 55 minutes when pacey Robbie Cockburn wrong-footed two defenders to set up Milner for his 56th goal of the season.
Guisborough: Coddington, Forster (Makin), Wilson, Fuller, Mowbray, Hyson, Todd, Corden, Ward, Richie (Hinchley), Hampton (Haslam).
Next season Guisborough will have a new manager when Steve Corden takes over the hot seat
