A TEACHER is taking part in the challenge of a lifetime to raise money for The Cancer Research Campaign and is looking for sponsorship.
Sandra Gray, deputy headteacher at Red House School, Norton, Teesside, is to take part in a walk along the Great Wall of China from May 30 to June 8.
Before she can embark on the adventure, Mrs Gray, 50, needs to raise a minimum of £2,500 in sponsorship.
She said: "This is truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Not only am I facing the challenge of trekking on and around the Great Wall, but also raising the money.
"So far, my family and friends have been incredibly generous in supporting me in what is the ultimate challenge."
The charity hopes to sign up at least 40 people for the trek with each person raising a minimum of £2,500 in sponsorship.
