STAFF and customers at the Frosterley Inn, at Frosterley, near Bishop Auckland, will be getting into the fundraising spirit on Friday.
The pub has organised a Halloween theme night to raise funds for Frosterley First School.
The fun will start at 8pm with a fancy dress competition.
Prizes will be on offer for the best and most imaginative costumes.
There will also be apple bobbing at 50p a go and a fund-raising raffle.
"We have organised a number of fundraising events in the past and everyone in the village has been very supportive," said the Frosterley Inn's landlady, Mary Southward.
"We are looking forward to a very entertaining evening which I am sure will raise a lot of money for the local school.
