THE cost of school meals is going up in east Cleveland.
Redcar and Cleveland council's loss-making education catering service has put up prices by three per cent.
Education director Jenny Lewis yesterday told members the catering service had operated at a loss since 1996.
This year, the shortfall is expected to be about £207,600, thanks to rising labour and food costs.
