LANCHESTER Social bounced back from their County Cup exit when they sent Craghead Social out of the Consett Charity Cup.

The Division Two recorded an impressive 5-3 home success. Both Paul Raisbeck and Lee McVittie scored twice along with Derek Parkin, while shell-shocked Craghead hit back through brothers Paul and Tony Quinn and Gary Messer.

Ivan Moxon went on a goals bonanza for Stanley Towneley Arms when he blasted five goals as they won 6-3 at Station Ex Juniors.

There were hat-tricks for both Darren Watson and Thomas Bushby when Stateside recorded a 9-0 win over Delves United in the Stanley Aged Miners' Cup while Plainsman crashed 7-0 against Pelton Fell.

Blackhill Comrades took the scalp of Oxhill Central in the Jack Grigg Memorial Cup. A Paul Clark hat-trick, two Craig Morgan goals and efforts from Andy Pearson, Paul Sawyer and John Golightly saw them win 8-3.

AK Leisure blasted the Board Inn 15-0 with hat-tricks from Colin Wheatley, Lee Ridley, Ian Davidson and Kevin Thompson.

The four Davids - Carter, McGee, Newton and Strother shared the goals as Bute Arms sent the Cricketers to a 4-1 defeat.

Gavin Courtney scored four times and Graham Clark the other two as Blackhall Mill won 6-0 at Burnhope while a Paul Simpson double guided Stanley Central to a 4-1 success over Hat & Feather.

In the league, there was a classic between Consett Top Club and Annfield Plain Demi. The Top Club were 4-1 up after 15 minutes and 5-4 ahead at the interval in a Division Two match that eventually ended 5-5. Lee Carriss hit a hat-trick for the visiting Demi with Andrew Taylor and Andrew Gleghorn also on target. Two each from Ian Hodgson and Andy Gillingham plus a Phil Mullins goal were the Top Club's replies.

In Division Three, Graham Gill scored twice for Burton House as they saw off Scotch Arms 5-2.
