PUPILS from Yarm Preparatory School are celebrating after winning the Headmasters and Headmistresses Conference under-11 seven-a-side soccer tournament last week.
After a 0-0 draw with Silcoates and a 3-1 win over Leeds Grammar School in the first round, a golden goal from captain Cameron Mitchell gave Yarm a 1-0 win over Hymers College in the quarter-final.
They defeated Bronte House 1-0 in the semi-final before a goal from Owen Dixon clinched victory over Ashville in the final.
Daniel Kitching was Yarm's top scorer with three goals during the tournament, followed by Owen Dixon with two.
The other squad members were Harvey Love, James McCrae, Joel McMahon, Steven Mullen, William Platts and Gareth Russell-Hughes.
The competition for northern HMC schools took place at Catterall Hall School in Giggleswick
