YOUNGSTERS were given sporting tips yesterday by an Olympic athletes.
Olympic Runner Allison Curbishley visited Brierton Community Sports Centre, at Brierton Community School, in Hartlepool.
She met pupils and presented trophies to winners of sporting activities held during the Easter holidays.
Head of PE Ailsa Reid said: "We were delighted to welcome Allison to the school and the sports centre. Allison is an inspiration to our youngsters and they had really been looking forward to her visit. She shared lots of training tips and perhaps her immense enthusiasm will inspire some of them to become the sports stars of the future."
