CHILDREN from Rise Carr Primary School, Darlington, have creating a silk banner portraying marine life.
They unveiled their work, which features all kinds of sea creatures, at an assembly yesterday.
The banner was part of a series of artistic activities involving teacher Venetia Shaw's class.
Ruth Handley, a teacher from Haughton Community School, visited the Rise Carr pupils many times to work with the youngsters. The children also performed a dance and dramatic pieces on an aquatic theme.
Mrs Shaw said: "They had a wonderful time and absolutely loved it; it was a nice new experience.
