HUNDREDS of women will be pulling on their running shoes and stepping out for charity tomorrow.
More than 900 entrants are taking part in the female-only Cancer Research UK Race for Life, at Herrington Country Park, Sunderland,
Cancer survivor Lesley Grainger, from Ashbrooke, Sunderland, will be a volunteer supervisor. She said: "Cancer touches all of us.
"Cancer Research UK's Race for Life is a great way of supporting a vital cause and having fun at the same time."
Among those to sign up are the BHS Babes, a team of 30 women who work together at British Homes Stores in Durham.
The Sunderland event is the last Race for Life in the region. So far this year, about 10,000 women have taken part in the programme.
