AN investigation into claims that students at a North-East college were bullied by a member of staff ended yesterday.

The inquiry was launched by bosses at Darlington College of Technology in May after complaints were received from students who said they had been subjected to verbal bullying.

A coach from the college's soccer academy scheme is understood to have been under investigation. However, the outcome remained shrouded in mystery last night.

The college refused to confirm what, if any, specific action had been taken over the allegations.

A spokeswoman said: "We have concluded our investigation and the issues have been dealt with according to college procedures."
