POLICE are searching for landscape gardeners who tried to bully residents into hiring their services.
Three men in a white pick-up truck with a green back were seen in Delves Lane, near Consett, at the weekend.
The trio claimed to be from a firm called H & M Landscape Gardeners and Tree Services. They offered to do garden work for a householder for £70. When the resident refused, the men threatened to rip up paving at the front of his house, before driving off.
One of the men was Asian, in his late thirties, 5ft 8ins tall, well built, with short, dark hair. He was wearing dark coloured jeans and a dark top. The second was white, 5ft 6ins tall, of medium build, with short, straight, dark hair.
