With their first attack of the game Stuart Bell beat the offside call and closed in on the Ayton goal to give the home side the lead in the first minute.

Annandale were the better side in the opening stages, the Ayton players appeared not to have realised the game had started. Burns in the Ayton goal made a number of saves with Annandale's Martin Dewing having a great game. Following a series of corners Ayton equalised when Toogood forced the ball home off his chest and knee. After taking control Ayton found the second and winning goal after Ripley hit a fierce drive. In an attempt to salvage something Dewing pushed forward but the Ayton defence held solid to take the points.

Grangetown struggled for 30 minutes with ten men and Lealholm made the most of the deficit. Lealholm opened the scoring after five minutes when Robinson scored. In the 25th minute a Mahan cross led to Butler netting a second. Grangetown had most of the play in the second half but against the run of play Lealholm went further ahead with a Robinson header. The same player clinched the match with a back heel flick. Grangetown had a few chances in the last ten minutes but failed to capitalise and Lealholm secured their first win.

Lingdale Tavern and Boosbeck Utd quickly settled into this derby match with Tavern showing control. On 15 minutes Tavern took the lead when Ball scored from Breckon's cross. Boosbeck came more into the game, Crawford and brown combined well to find Winter who rounded the keeping but his shot was cleared by Brown. Lingdale defended well and both sides created chances early in the second half, Lingdale having the edge making it 3-0 when Brown his a crossfield ball to Shane Breckon who hit a shot in off the cross bar. Boosbeck pulled a goal back through Johnson and they threatened for the last five minutes but Tavern's defence held out.

Goldsborough Goldsborough scored twice in the first 15 minutes against Stakesby Arms through Melbourne and five minutes later Dent made it two. Thomas netted twice for Stakesby to level the score at the break. Early in the second half Dent again put Goldsborough ahead but their lead was short lived when Headlam converted a penalty. From then on Goldsborough dominated and the last 30 minutes saw Dent complete his hat-trick and further goals from Duell, Welford and Thompson for them to win comfortably in the end.

League Cup

Laddie dominated the first half with Kandel Dowson and Lowther going close. On 25 minute Dowson slotted home from six yards. The second half began more lively for Whitby, Wood, Roldan and Swales all working hard, however Laddie went further ahead when Neesham crashed a 25-yard shot in the 60th minutes. Shortley after Combellack raced clear to fire home the third. Whitby rallied and pulled a goal back after Draper was brought down and Wood converted the penalty. Laddie clinched their place in the next round when substitute Rye fired in a 20-yard shot in the 85th minute to give Laddie a deserved win.
