Willington Ladies League: Willington Club B moved ten points clear at the top of the darts section when they only dropped one point on their visit to Willington Cottles A.

Willington Club A are in second place ten points clear of Willington Black Horse A.

Willington Burn lead the dominoes section by three points from Willington Cottles B, who are one ahead of their A team.

The Brown Trout Cup

Ithe quarter finals Willington Cottles had a comfortable progress to the semis when they only dropped two points to the visiting Willington Lion and Unicorn. Cottles had darts wins from Kenny Louth, Jason Bone and John Scott with Arthur Goldsborough winning for the Unicorn. There was a similar result in the dominoes section as only Arthur Goldsborough won for the visitors, whilst Brett Fleming, John Gallagher and Keith Nicholson took Cottles to victory.

Kensington Cup

Willington Lion and Unicorn pulled off a good victory on their visit to Willington New Inn in the quarter finals. The home side only managed to collect three points when they had pool points from Ian Spowart and Phil Blyth to add to the lone dominoes point from Dessie Ayre. The Unicorn had pool points from David Hawkins, Alan Lee senior, Kevin Hill and Paul Williams with dominoes points coming from Alan lee junior, Sheila Lee, Kevin Hill and David Hawkins to make it unnecessary to play the pool doubles.

The other quarter final played was the Cottles derby with the B team going through by four points. The B team commanded exchanges on the pool table with wins from Brett Fleming, John Gallagher, David Bennett, Joe Bone and Stuart Wayman in the singles to add to the three doubles, whilst the only point for the A team came from Andrew Fleming. The A team took over at dominoes with wins from Andrew Mains, Bob Liddell, Andrew Fleming and Pat Fleming with Paul Trow taking the only dominoes point for the victorious B team.

The other two quarter finals matches are Willington Brewer's Droop v Sunnybrow Brown Trout and Hunwick Quarry v Byers Green Royal Oak.

Auckland Area

CIU League

Old Shildon moved three points clear at the top of the pool section after their emphatic victory at Cockton Hill, who had Peter Race as their only winner. The Shildon winners were Michael Aldworth, Colin Bell and Darren Blood. The other match finished all square when Steven Dowson and Peter Townsend won for Evenwood with Terry Race and Kevin Weldon replying for Eldon Lane.

Cockton Hill moved into second place in the darts section with an odd point win over Old Shildon. Eldon Lane made good win at Evenwood to move just one point behind Cockton Hill, who trail West Auckland by seventeen points. Mick Holmes was the only home winner, whilst Colin Patterson, Stephen Weldon and Billy percival added points to the team game.

Old Shildon remain top of the dominoes section despite taking only one point against the visiting Cockton Hill. John Collingwood took the home point, whilst Alan Lamb, Brian Singlewood and Alan Lithgow won for the Hill.

Eldon Lane's draw at Evenwood in the whist pushed them five points clear of Horndale, who have two matches in hand. Old Shildon lead the 5's and 3's by four points from Horndale after their two points win at Cockton Hill.
