Karo de Vindecy, who turned in a career best effort when successful at Sedgefield last week, can follow up under a penalty in the LJJ Contractors Handicap Chase over two miles and five furlongs back at the same course this afternoon, writes Richard Young.

Micky Hammond's progressive six-year-old proved well suited by a strongly run race over this trip on fast ground that day and showed the right attitude to beat reliable yardstick Dragon King, with the pair clear of the remainder.

Although he had to survive an early blunder he was always travelling strongly and, with a couple of these (namely Sir Norman and Dingo Dancer) that are regular front-runners, he'll get the race run to suit.

And, as he's only had ten races so far over fences, there's almost certainly more to come and he's taken to get the better of Bob Woodhouse's Sir Norman, who figures on a handy mark at present.

Terry Mills doesn't have many runners over hurdles and the fact that he sends Resplendent King all the way from Epsom for the Ramside Event Catering Juvenile Hurdle looks significant.

He was well beaten back over a mile on the Flat at Epsom last time but he's a much better performer over further and this trip should pose no problems for this hurdling debut. The main danger looks to be Martin Todhunter's Quarry Island.

Evan Williams has been in good form of late and his Oh So Brave looks sure to give a good account in the Betfred Handicap Hurdle over two miles and five furlongs.

Over this course and distance last week the seven-year-old notched her second win from his last three outings when making all to beat Compton Commander.

A seven pound penalty makes life tougher but she's open to improvement and is fancied to get the better of Al Mabrook.

At Lingfield's afternoon fixture Toronto Heights looks an interesting runner for Peter Chapple-Hyam in the totetrifecta Rated Handicap over six furlongs.

Although below his best on his last two starts over seven furlongs he'll be well suited by the step back to this trip and his stable has been in very good form of late.

Sovereign Dreamer could get an uncontested lead and looks worth chancing in the Celebrate Your Wedding At Lingfield Racecourse Handicap over a mile and three furlongs.

Paul Cole also has his team in good form and his gelding, who won three times over this trip on fast ground last year, is on a fair mark and will be suited by the return to this trip having failed to last home over a mile and seven last time.

At Haydock's evening meeting River Falcon, who was well beaten on fast ground last time, makes more appeal granted today's conditions in the MTB Group Classified Stakes over six furlongs.
