TWO friends have opened an women's clothes shop after they saw a gap in the market.
Erica Dillon, in Millgate, Richmond, is a new venture for friends and work colleagues Nichola Cockerill-Smith and Jacqueline Brakenberry.
Ms Cockerill-Smith said: "We saw a gap in the market for the more exclusive range of elegant gowns, eveningwear and accessories."
The pair, who are manager and assistant manager at the St John's Centre, Catterick Garrison, will keep their jobs until the business is established. The shop's name has been taken from the pair's boxer dogs, called Eric and Dillon.
Richmond town manager Colin Grant has welcomed the opening of the shop.
He said: "I wish them every success in the future."
The shop is stocking T-shirts designed by 20-year-old student Amy Livesey.
Miss Livesey, of Tunstall, near Richmond, suffers from the rare skin condition epidermolysis bullosa (EB).
Money raised from the sale of the clothing will go to EB charity Debra.
