THE work of a Durham artist that ranges from local landmarks to more surreal paintings has gone on display at the DLI Museum and Durham Art Gallery.
The exhibition by Charlie Parker, who by day is a nurse, runs until Monday, May 2, in the Print Room. The display features works that show how the artist has developed over seven years. It includes landscapes and well-known local areas, portraits and more surreal pictures.
The work was produced in a range of media, including oil, acrylic paint, pencil and ink.
Mr Parker said: "I have based myself in Durham for the last seven years and have found the city, the local areas and the people an inspiration for my artwork."
The museum and gallery is open daily, 10am until 4pm.
