AN IT solutions company is backing the E-Commerce Awards.
Technology Services Group, in Newcastle, has joined regional development agency One North East as sponsor of the regional heats, which take place in September.
The winners in six categories will each walk away with £1,000 and the chance to win £50,000 at the national final in London a month later.
TSG business development director Nigel Hudson said: "The awards are extremely important because they provide real-life proof of technology actually delivering value and helping businesses to achieve specific goals.
"Small and medium-sized companies, in particular, tend to look at peers for advice on ICT strategy, so reading genuine case studies can inspire ideas and confidence to start using the technology."
The categories are: best sales and marketing online; best customer care online; best integrated business; best use of broadband; best use of teleworking and best use of mobile and wireless technology.
The closing date is July 29.
