FIREFIGHTERS are tackling a major blaze at a wood recycling factory near Middlesbrough.
Around 3,000 tonnes of wood are on fire at the Jigsaw Wood Recycling Plant, at Haverton Hill.
Cleveland Fire Brigade have been at the scene since 6.30am this morning.
No-one has been injured, but the think smoke, which has is drifting across the A19 is causing disruption to motorists.
High Clarence Pirmary School, in Port Clarence, has been closed for the day and residents are being advised to stay indoors.
It is not known what has caused the blaze.
