Public urged to be on lookout for missing Crook man's car

POLICE are urging people to be on the lookout for a car in which a missing Crook man is believed to be travelling.

Jack Craggs, aged 59, of Billy Row, Crook, was reported missing on Wednesday evening.

He is thought to have left his home address earlier that afternoon in his silver/grey-coloured Vauxhall Frontera, registration N880 CWU and has not been seen since.

Inspector Mick Bird said: "We are anxious to find Mr Craggs and would ask members of the public to let us know if they think they have spotted his vehicle.

"He is in poor health and his family are very concerned for his wellbeing.

He was last seen by a friend at about 12.30pm on Wednesday and none of his friends or family have had any contact with him since."

Mr Craggs, who wears spectacles, is described as 5ft 7ins tall, of medium build, with short grey hair and blue eyes.

When last seen he was wearing a lumber-jack-style red, green and white checked shirt, black tracksuit bottoms and zipped boots.

Anyone who thinks they have seen Mr Craggs or his Vauxhall Frontera should contact Crook police via the non-emergency number 0345-6060- 365.
