Appeal after man goes missing from Crook

POLICE are urging a missing North-East man to contact him to let them know he is safe.

Jack Craggs, aged 59, of Billy Row, Crook, County Durham, was reported missing yesterday evening.

He has not been seen yesterday afternoon when he left home in his silver/grey-coloured Vauxhall Frontera, registration N880 CWU.

Inspector Mick Bird said: "Mr Craggs is in poor health and his family are very concerned for his wellbeing.

"Our enquiries among friends and family have drawn a blank and I would urge Mr Craggs or anyone with information regarding his whereabouts to contact us."

The inspector added that it was also possible Mr Craggs was travelling in a green Indian Chief Mahindra jeep-style vehicle, registration H511 HHJ.

Last seen by a friend at about 12.30pm yesterday, Mr Craggs, who wears glasses, is described as 5ft 7ins tall, of medium build, with short grey hair and blue eyes.

He was wearing wearing a lumber-jack-style red, green and white checked shirt, black tracksuit bottoms and zipped boots.

Anyone who thinks they have seen Mr Cragg's should contact Crook police on the non-emergency number 0345-60-60-365.
