Middlesbrough-born Roy Chubby Brown cleared of assault

STAND-UP comic Roy Chubby Brown has today been found not guilty of assaulting a woman following an altercation in a car park.

During a two day trial at Teesside Magistrates' Court, it was alleged that the 65-year-old comedian, who was charged under his real name, Royston Vasey, punched Kelly Oliver in the face, after she shouted abusive language at him in Sainsburys car park, in Middlesbrough, last September.

But after considering the evidence, magistrates found Mr Vasey, of East Harsley, in Northallerton, North Yorkshire, not guilty of assault by beating.

Chairman of the bench, Fran Wood, said: "Due to inconsistency of the evidence of all witnesses and the poor quality of the CCTV footage, we are not convinced beyond all reasonable doubt that Mr Vasey is guilty of the offence."

Mr Vasey had always denied the offence.

Pleased for you Chubby ...

Equal rights and all that, I'm afraid meant nothing to this kind of woman, hence her abusive language.

Even MPs in todays world will react to such abuse from male or female.
