Three prison officers stabbed at Frankland jail

THREE prison officers have been stabbed by an inmate at high-security Frankland jail, near Durham, it is being reported today.
Two of the victims, a man and woman, have undergone surgery for their injuries while a second male officer suffered less serious wounds.
The attack, involving a broken bottle, happened at 8.30am on Saturday.
Durham Police are expected to release a statement later today, and have confirmed that an incident took place on Saturday morning.
