MILITARY medals were the focus of attention at the weekend.

The Antiques Roadshow-style event was held in the Durham Light Infantry Museum, in Durham City.

Kevin Storey, Roy Tate and Michael Foster gave advice and information to people about their family heirlooms. Mr Tate and Mr Foster are members of the Northumbria Medal Society and have studied medals for 30 years and 20 years respectively.

Mr Storey is secretary of the Durham Light Infantry Association and has studied medals for 30 years.

The experts also gave presentations on the museum’s exhibits.
