CONTROVERSIAL pop phenomenons John and Edward, who starred in this year's X Factor, are performing in Middlesbrough in the New Year.
The Irish twins are making a special guest appearance at the APE club night at Middlesbrough Empire on Thursday, January 14.
The 18-year-olds dubbed Jedward sprang to fame after their energetic routines divided the audience and opinionated judges on the hit ITV show.
Their vocal ability was put under the spotlight each week on the talent show designed to find an unknown recording artist.
The brothers, who were voted off the programme last month, are set to audition for a role in a major Hollywood film and are reportedly being lined up to guest star in cult cartoon show, The Simpsons.
They are believed to be auditioning for a role in The Hobbit, the prequel to The Lord of the Rings films, after catching the eye of director Peter Jackson.
Phil Saunders of APE promoters Ten Feet Tall said: "This is such a mad one. At Ten Feet Tall we've been promoting live music for years, bringing the likes of Muse, Coldplay and Oasis to local venues - but, strange to say, this feels like one of the biggest shows that we've ever been involved with! "There's something very odd, and very wonderful about those boys, pure star quality, and we're just counting down the days to the show."
Advance queue-jumper tickets for this over 18s show are only available to regular club-goers at APE events across the festive season on Thursday, December 17 and Thursday, January 7 at the Empire venue.
Any remaining tickets costing £6 for John and Edward's guest appearance on Thursday, January 14 will be available on the night of the show when doors open at 10pm on a first come first served basis.
