CHILDREN at a school were surprised when members of a police force’s air support unit dropped in.
The unit flew into Kader School, in Acklam, Middlesbrough, by helicopter yesterday.
Cleveland Police officers delivered a presentation on their specialist unit and a talk on personal safety to year six students.
Sergeant Dave Clark, of the Air Operations Unit, said: “As part of our community engagement, we love visiting schools in the area and showing the pupils around the helicopter.
“It gives the students a chance to learn about the work that the unit does and it gives us a chance to talk to them about keeping safe, which will be focusing on missing people.”
