MORE than eight months after she disappeared without trace, the appeals for missing chef Claudia Lawrence continue unabated.
Yesterday they were renewed once more as her father Peter launched a new poster campaign with the help of Yorkshire Coastliner buses.
The company operates bus routes between Leeds, York, Malton, Scarborough, Pickering, Thornton Dale, the North York Moors and Whitby.
It was one of the first bus groups that put up posters when Miss Lawrence went missing in March but over time they have inevitably faded and become tatty.
Martin Dales, Peter Lawrence’s friend and spokesman said: "Peter and the family are very appreciative of Yorkshire Coastliner’s support in this way and he wants to personally thank them.
"The new posters should prove more resilient and hopefully will not fade quite as quickly."
Miss Lawrence, 35, whose parents come from Darlington and who was brought up in Malton, was last seen on March 18 near her home in Heworth, York.
A chef at York University, she failed to turn up for her early morning shift the next day and despite a huge police effort there has been no trace of her since.
Detectives are now treating her case as one of attempted murder and the charity Crimestoppers have issued a £10,000 reward for information.
Anyone with any information should contact police on 0845 6060 247 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
