TWO parrots stolen in a burglary have been returned.
The African Grey parrots were handed in to a police station.
A rose-breasted cockatoo, which says "What's up?" and was also stolen, remains missing.
The birds were taken from Woodbrook Avenue, Newcastle, on Thursday, July 2. They were handed in at Etal Lane police station on Sunday(JULY 12).
A 22-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of burglary and bailed pending further enquiries.
A 23-year-old man and a 20-year-old woman who were previously arrested are also on bail pending further enquiries.
Neighbourhood Inspector Steve Hails said: "We're delighted the two African Greys have been returned to their owner and hope that they fully recover."
