Pedestrian seriously hurt outside Harrogate fire station

FIREFIGHTERS were quickly on the scene after a car hit a pedestrian right outside their station.

The pedestrian, who suffered serious head and leg injuries - was trapped beneath the vehicle outside the fire station in Skipton Road, Harrogate, after the accident at 12.04pm today.

Firefighters used airbags and blocks to take the weight off the male casaulty who was rushed to hospital.
