JAMES Morrison and the Sugarbabes will play at Durham County Cricket Club's stadium this summer.
The picturesque Riverside stadium at Chester-le-Street will be filled with the sound of the Sugarbabes on Friday July 10 and James Morrison will perform on Sunday July 12.
Further acts will be announced at a later date. The Sugababes are the most successful girl group and have sold more than 2 million singles, 5.5 million albums and have hit the top spot in the UK six times.
James Morrison's debut album. Undiscovered, yielded no fewer than five singles - You Give Me Something, Wonderful World, The Pieces Don't Fit Anymore, Undiscovered and One Last Chance and he has released his second album, Songs for You, Truths For Me.
Club chief executive David Harker said, "Riverside has hosted some world class acts over the years including Elton John, UB40 and Jamie Cullum. To add James Morrison and Sugababes to that list is fantastic. "It's always great to attract new audiences to the stadium, the atmosphere will be electric and I'm sure both acts will give outstanding performances for their fans." Tickets go on sale at 9am today (tuesday 24 March) and cost £25 (plus booking fee).
Weekend tickets, which give admission to both concerts, cost £40 (plus booking fee).
