A BOOKMAKERS was held up by three robbers armed with hammers this afternoon.
Police have issued an appeal for information after the Chisholm branch at Crawcrook, near Gateshead, was raided at 4.28pm.
The three men entered the Main Street store and demanded cash. They left shortly afterwards with a small amount of money.
Any witnesses are asked to call Northumbria Police on 0345-043-043.
