Woman stabbed to death in Gateshead

A WOMAN has been stabbed to death in Gateshead.

The emergency services received a report that a woman had been stabbed in Hazelgrove, in the Leam Lane area of Gateshead, at about 8.20pm this evening.

Police and the ambulance crews arrived at the scene, where they found a woman who had received stab wounds.

She was taken to gateshead's Queen Elizabeth Hospital, where she died a short time later.

After making inquries, police arrested two men were arrested and they are cuurently being questioned in custody.
