A PRIMARY school in Orpington has received a glowing report after its first Ofsted inspection.
Staff, pupils, parents and governors were praised for their hard work in making Hillside Primary School, in Dyke Drive, “a happy and caring environment” that provides “a good quality education for its pupils within an ethos where all are valued”.
Main strengths identified by the inspectors during their March visit include the good progress of reception children after starting school, the standards of special educational needs provision and the extra-curricular opportunities.
Chairman of Governors Carol Harris said: “Credit must go to the headteacher, Mrs Beston, for her positive attitude and enthusiasm in leading the school through its first years.”
