A MAN was left needing 13 stitches in his lip after he tried to stop youths harassing a group of women.

The 32-year-old from Lewisham was on his way home after a night out when he was attacked on Lee High Road, on February 25.

He had noticed the women being pestered by the group of youths and asked them to stop, at about 1.15am.

But as he carried on walking the group turned their attention to him and started to shout after him. One of them jumped on him and punched him in the face, leaving him with a cut lip and black eye.

His attacker, who was Asian, 21, and wearing a black jacket, ran off towards Lewis Grove.
