A MAN accused of car-jacking a 65-year-old taxi driver at knife point has appeared in court.
Graham Peter Nelson, 27, of Milburn Street, Sunderland, allegedly used forced to rob Robert Cowper of a Skoda Octavia and a Nokia mobile phone in Darlington, during the early hours of yesterday morning.
He is also accused of driving the car on Yarm Road, Stockton, without insurance and otherwise in accordance with a licence.
Magistrates, sitting at Newton Aycliffe this morning, adjourned the case to Durham Crown Court on Monday June 16.
No pleas were entered and Mr Nelson was remanded into custody.
