The British National Party has so far failed to win a seat in Sedgefield - despite polling strongly.
Party activists had been bullish about their chances in Chilton.
But the far right party's candidates were beaten in every seat they contested.
The party did, however, poll more than 2,000 votes.
Labour activists have targeted the area in the last few days, urging people to vote.
