A NORTH-EAST neighbourhood suffered a power cut when dodgy wiring connecting an illegal cannabis farm to the electricity mains was disconnected.
The black out affected 100 homes in the Tollesby area of Middlesbrough, last night. The power cut lasted for half an hour.
Inspector Andrew Vickers of Cleveland Police said: "As a result of police activity discovering a cannabis farm at an address, the house was discovered to be wired so poorly into the electricity mains that emergency response was required.''
