Long Lost Family (ITV, 9pm)

JULIE ROBERTS, a chocolate factory-worker from Birmingham, has always known she was adopted. She longs to find her mother Marion, to see what impact her teenage pregnancy had and find out what became of her. Davina McCall and Nicky Campbell also investigate the case of keen biker Marc Wolfe, who knows little about his birth mother, other than that she was Jewish and her one wish was for her son to be adopted into a Jewish family. After the death of his adoptive mother, his feelings intensified and he decided to look for his biological mum. Marc wants to know why she gave him up.

Ackley Bridge (C4, 8pm)

SCHOOL days are supposed to be the happiest of your life. However, as we all know, that's not always the case, especially when GCSEs are looming and there's the feeling that you've not done enough revision. That's the problem facing Jordan (Samuel Bottomley) this week. He finds an art college that he wants to go to, but his lack of preparation may let him down. Though Mandy (Jo Joyner) encourages him to concentrate, he is soon distracted by a reunion with his estranged mum. It sets him on a course of destruction that may be unsalvageable. Meanwhile, Mandy questions her loyalty to Sadiq (Adil Ray) and risks her role as Headteacher when she is offered a lifeline for the school.

Saving Lives at Sea (BBC2, 8pm)

RESCUING sailors, divers and other souls from unforgiving waves rarely fails to stir the emotions, as this series proves. On the south coast of Devon, the crew of Salcombe lifeboat station are called to two of the highest level of emergencies at sea - a Mayday call to a fisherman pulled to the bottom of the sea ensnared in his own fishing gear, and a devastating fire on a boat 15 miles out in the channel. Meanwhile, in the waters off Anglesey, as they go to the rescue of a father and his 13-year-old son, the crew of Moelfre station uncover a story of survival and heroism.

A Passage to Britain (BBC2, 9pm)

IN the second of the three-part series, Dr Yasmin Khan examines the experiences of the passengers who arrived in Britain on the ship the Asturias in the late 1940s. The vessel was one of the first to sail from Bombay following Independence and Partition, and Yasmin is keen to find out how these seismic events affected the passengers' decision to come to the UK. It's a search that leads her to uncover the oft-forgotten story of Britain's displaced persons camps, where Asian migrants were housed alongside victims of the Blitz.

Age Before Beauty (BBC1, 9pm)

LORELEI tries to win Wes's heart, and while he wants to end his affair with her, Bel's head is being turned by Teddy. Leanne has organised for MirrorBel salon to have a stand at an anti-ageing fair. When Bel, Tina and Heidi turn up, they're surprised to discover that Leanne is promoting herself as a guru for the genre. It's clear that beyond designing the packaging, she doesn't have a clue what she's doing. Later, Teddy tells Bel he'll invest in the business as long as they keep it secret from Wes and Leanne. Drama, starring Polly Walker and Robson Green.

Manhunting with My Mum (C4, 10pm)

PRESENTER AJ Odudu moved from Blackburn to London 10 years ago and forged a career in television and social media. (You may know her from projects such as Big Brother's Bit on the Side and ITV2's The Hot Desk). Having recently turned 30, she is finding it hard to appreciate her success as she has no one to share it with. Her mum Florence moved from Nigeria to Blackburn in the early 1970s as part of an arranged marriage. Drawing on the Nigerian tradition of parents arranging partners for their children, mother and daughter take a road trip around Nigeria in an attempt to find AJ a husband. Their trip takes them to the town of Badagry, where AJ meets (a besotted) Prince Joshua. Other potential suitors include Lagos-based 34-year-old churchgoer KC, who has stayed so true to his Christian faith that he has remained celibate his whole life. Will AJ find Mr Right?
