BRYMOR Ice Cream has achieved double national recognition in the Guild of Fine Foods 2018 Great Taste Awards.

The Wensleydale-based business scooped a One Star Award for its Guernsey milk and a One Star Award for its supermarket brand, Yorkshire Ice Cream.

As a farm-based business making ice cream by hand, the awards are a real accolade as there were a record 12,634 entries.

Managing director Paul Hodgson said: “We are delighted that two of our key products have been recognised by The Guild of Fine Foods.

“The Guernsey milk produced by our Guernsey cows is the foundation of Brymor Ice Cream products so the award is a real mark of quality”.

He added: “Yorkshire Ice Cream is made with Dales milk from local farms and is a similar recipe to Brymor Guernsey Ice Cream. The judges have obviously recognised the skill with which we have created a great tasting everyday product.”

Established in 1984, Brymor Guernsey Ice Cream is now sold in more than 300 retailers.
