MEMBERS of the Interact Club from Queen Elizabeth Sixth Form College and Darlington Rotary Club came together to say thank you and goodbye to outgoing Interact Club President and Vice President, Danny Brown and Gina Bibby.

The pair have spearheaded a number of projects including organising an Easter egg collection for the local women’s refuge and collecting more than £900 worth of goods for the British Heart Foundation. Nancy Wall, co-Ordinator of the Darlington college’s Interact Club, said: "Danny, Gina and all of the members of the Interact Club have worked ever so hard this year to make a real, lasting difference to the community.

"Staff and students have fully supported their projects and their dedication to the Club has been outstanding, they should be extremely proud of themselves."

Rotary Club president, Paul Robinson, Vice President, Mike Challands, Interact Co-Ordinator, Roly Lang, and and college Vice Principal, Laurence Job,came together to honour the students.

The new President and Vice President for the next year will be Lancia Lee-Deckard and Tom Makepeace, begin their tenure this September.
