POLICE investigating a series of alleged thefts from vehicles are appealing for anyone with CCTV to come forward.

The alleged incidents happened between midnight and 4.30am on Tuesday, August 14 in Ingleby Barwick, near Stockton.

Officers would ask that residents check their CCTV for any footage which may assist their investigation.

Particular streets of interest are Kenwood Crescent, Lullingstone Crescent, Broadlands, Hillbrook Crescent, Longleat Walk and Elishaw Green.

Police are also still appealing to reunite suspected stolen property with owners, after property was recovered including a suspected stolen silver Dell laptop in a laptop bag.

Other items of property recovered include RayBan sunglasses, a Flip ultra-video recorder, a dash cam and other items.

Four men aged 21, 26, 27 and 33 have been arrested on suspicion of theft from a motor vehicle. They have been released under investigation whilst enquiries continue.

Detective Constable Rachael Johnson, from Stockton Operational Crime Team, said: “As a precaution, police would like to remind members of the public to keep cars locked and keep valuables out of sight.

“Anyone who thinks they may have footage from the early hours of Tuesday, August 14 which could assist our investigation is asked to get in touch.

"We would like to work together with the residents of Ingleby Barwick on this investigation.”
