A THREE legged greyhound who is described as “loving life and everyone in it” is seeking a permanent home.

Jude has been looked after by foster carers Ruth and Ray Blundell, who live in Thimbleby, near Northallerton, after he was rescued by the charity Greyhound Rescue and Co-ordinated Emergencies (GRACE).

Vets amputated his leg after he broke two toes on a racing track which subsequently failed to heal.

Despite his handicap Mrs Blundell says he gives her other dogs, Rocky, Amber and Missy, a run for their money.

She said: “He loves soft toys and chasing balls and has been a handful at times, but he is basically still a puppy.

“He loves life and everyone in it. His perfect home would be with another dog as he loves to play and would get anxious if left alone.

“A family who would give him love, patience and exercise would be ideal.”

Jude enjoys hugs and belly rubs and is also said to have a habit of stealing shoes and leaving them in the garden.

Mrs Blundell added: “He is completely house trained and if he needs to go out in the middle of the night he will give your face a nudge with his nose.

“He hasn’t a bad bone in his body, but with being big and very strong I would say he would not be suited to children aged under eight.”
