TWO beauty pageant stars have teamed up to organise a family fun day in aid of a cause close to their hearts.
Miss Belle UK Ambassador Caitlyn Morrison, 12, of Coundon, and Miss Belle UK North East Catherine Tait, 22, of Houghton-le-Spring, will host the event at Coundon Workingmen's Club.
The summer funday from noon to 4pm, on Sunday, will include stalls and entertainment.
Proceeds will be donated to the charity that runs Ronald McDonald House at Alder Hay Children's Hospital, in Liverpool.
The pair became friends through the pageant circuit and decided to work together on fundraising, which continues until April when they travel to Spain to compete internationally. They said being part of 'Team Belle UK' has given them an extended family and the chance to support a great cause.
Miss Belle UK pageants support the house which provides accommodation for the families of children undergoing long-term treatment.
