A DANGEROUS driver has been warned he could be jailed for two hit-and-run crashes involving another car and a pedestrian.
Robin Ferguson will be sentenced at Teesside Crown Court next month once a background report has been compiled by a probation officer.
The 62-year-old admitted dangerous driving on a number of roads in Northallerton, North Yorkshire, on December 11.
He also pleaded guilty to failing to stop on East Road after causing damage to a BMW 3-Series, and on Ashlands Close after injuring a woman.
Judge Howard Crowson gave him bail until his next appearance on September 4, and told him: “You are at risk of prison, and you should understand that.”
Defence lawyer Kelleigh Lodge told the court that they are hoping to get details of Ferguson’s medical condition - severe anxiety and depression - from his doctor before the next hearing.
Ferguson, of Ashlands Close, also admitted a charge of failing to give a specimen.
