AN annual festival has concluded for another year with a spectacular display.
Thousands of visitors to Stockton International Riverside Festival were treated to the specially commissioned show Going out with a Bang by pyrotechnic experts Lightfires as the event drew to a close for another year.
Internationally renowned band, Ibibio Sound Machine, got the finale started with a high energy clash of music inspired by West African funk, disco, modern post-punk and electro.
Councillor Norma Wilburn, Stockton Borough Council’s cabinet member for arts, leisure and culture, said: “Going out with a Bang was the perfect show to end what has been four truly amazing days.
"Thanks to everyone who has supported the festival by coming along and enjoying themselves – we hope you left with smiles on your faces."
