Car damaged

POLICE are investigating gouges and scratches caused to a parked car in Darlington between 6pm on Tuesday, July 24, and 7am on Wednesday, July 25. The black Mercedes was parked in the Park Place East Car Park, in the town centre, overnight. Anyone with information can contact PC 530 of the Darlington Police Resolution Team on non-emergency number 101, quoting reference DHM-25072018-0085.

Family comedy

COMEDIAN Patrick Monahan will host a family-friendly show at Crown Street Library on Saturday, September 8 from 1.30pm until 2.30pm. The event is suitable for those aged six and over. Tickets are on sale from arconline.co.uk.

30mph zone

DARLINGTON Borough Council plans to introduce temporary 30mph zones along Rotary Way and on the A68 West Auckland Road fro its junction with Rotary Way south to a point northwest of its junction with Westgate Crescent. There will also be a temporary footway closure on the south side of Rotary Way and on parts of the A68 West Auckland Road. The restrictions are to allow for the construction of a cycleway, with the maximum duration of the temporary restrictions will be for 18 months from August 13.

Ramblers meet
